Original Stitch

So, you've decided to make one of our lovely products by yourself - good for you!  Our patterns are beautifully designed, and we try and make the instructions really simple and detailed so that nothing is missed out.  And once you've paid it's yours immediately to download!

Here's how it works:

1. Go ahead and buy your pattern!  This step is exactly the same as buying any other OriginalStitch Product.
2. Once you've completed your Paypal transaction, and received all the payment successful messages from Paypal, go to your personal email account (the one that you used for this purchase, and that is registered with Paypal).
3. Check for new mail, and you should have your Order Received email from OriginalStitch.  Scroll right down, and find and click on the underlined phrase 'View the order by following the link below'.
4. This will take you either straight to your Order Information page, in Accounts Maintenance (if you've asked the site to 'remember you' or you're still logged on.)  Or, you will be taken to the OriginalStitch Login page - sign in using your OriginalStitch Username and Password (not your Paypal ones) and then click again on the View the order by following the link below link.
5. Here, you will see the Order Information area.  Scroll down, and you will see your Sewing Pattern PDF will be next to a green arrow.  Click on the pink name of the product you've ordered and voila!  Your pattern will be downloaded onto your computer.  It will ask you whether you wish to View it or Save it.  We advise Saving it and choosing where to put it - often the desktop is the best place. (Until you've made a folder especially for all the patterns you'll buy from us....!)
6. You have 3 goes at downloading, so if something happens that deletes your pattern on your computer, or you lose it, you can simply repeat this process to re-download.  If you lose your confirmation email, contact us and we will send you an email containing your Download-ID.  This is a long string of numbers.  Go to the Login box, log in, and click on Downloads Area; or simply click on the blue link in the email.  Now copy and paste your Download-ID into the prompt box, and your Sewing Pattern PDF will be downloaded onto your hard drive. 
7. If you're still stuck, don't get frustrated - technology beats us all sometimes!  Please simply email us using the Contact Us pages and we can check your payment went through and email your PDF to you. 
8. Go and rummage for fabric, thread, scissors and get sewing!  Have fun, and we'd really like to know how you get on.  Please send a pic of what you've made to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
